I was doing SO WELL this year until day 12. I have been posting to my twitter account daily and I loved the daily exercise but that day was such a mess! I had big plans but it was such a bad day at work. I was mentally done. At home? I had to fill out forms that took me about 2 hours as well. Let's just say I really, really miss the short time I could just focus on my art. I know many people have the dream but I need the work to survive first...
if you like my art and want to support me a tiny bit consider tipping me on ko-fi . I do have a patreon, especially to garner some support for the comic but I'm the last one to beg y'all to finance my dream.
I hope y'all like what I put out here and on the other social media.
More about this piece: A young Lucia (in the comic she is well into her 40s) trying out some neat little spell. I did the coloring completely with chalk pastels and liked the experimenting aspect of it. I had a rather thick brush pen (normally used for calligraphy) to make the outlines. The pose is part of Null-Entity's #stocktober2022 I just bend the arm to fit the paper. It has been a while I worked in A3 for sure and will try to do more in that size. So many opportunities to work big.
Blending chalk pastels are fun :D I got very messy fingers but I have found some sponge thingies to try spreading and blending with those next time.
