Noa Igari is a Warrant Officer with the Osean Military's General Staff Office. Fort Lupa is her first active duty posting after she graduated in the top 1% of her class at the Military Academy in Carbonero. Luckily, or unluckily for her, she was assigned to the incredibly capable Brigadier General Sophia Kiten. Noa is just starting her military career. While she learns the ropes her role is to support Sophia. Her duties involve handling clerical work, setting Sophia's schedule, passing Messages and correspondence in and out of the Brigadier General's office, assisting Sophia with reports, and, she is always present as a witness and reporter during Sophia's terrifying disciplinary sessions. Her long term goal is to ascend to the higher levels of the GSO. Having Sophia as a mentor makes that possibility a lot more realistic.

Noa bounces around a bit personality wise. Sometimes she's very smug and arrogant, sometimes she's relaxed and talkative, and other times it looks like she was one of Sophia's victims. Some of it has to do with her day to day work, but it also stems from her experiences after graduation. (I don't have room to fully explain it all here. When the scripts come out she'll get a full lore dump.) As short as I can make it, Noa was bullied during her time in Eaglin for graduating in the top 1% of a "bottom tier Academy." She dealt with it how she could for months until a substantial act of sabotage during a training exercise pushed her to her breaking point. She ended up assaulting two of her fellow trainees in a fit of pent up rage and left them battered and bloody.

Fortunately for Noa, the instructors at Eaglin aren't stupid. She did spend a week in a holding cell while her case was being investigated, but she was cleared of any wrongdoing after evidence of the bullying and more significantly, the deliberate sabotage that could very well have caused her severe injury or death if she hadn't caught it. For posterity, the two culprits were jailed for a year and dishonorably discharged from the military following a court martial headed personally by Eaglin's executives.

Sophia is well aware of Noa's history. When going over candidates for her Assistant at Fort Lupa, Noa's file was actually sent to her by and with a recommendation from Eaglin. Not something you see every day. It's almost unheard of for a cadet to earn one. Under Sophia, Noa seems to slowly be building up her confidence again. She has an excellent teacher who genuinely wants to see her succeed regardless of where she graduated from. Noa's head is a little big because of that. Sophia keeps her humble though.

Noa has also been able to quickly befriend Viola and Lillia. It's not unusual for Noa to spend her off time with them while they're relaxing or working at Fort Lupa. She's an extra pair of hands and happy to help her new friends.

Noa is based off Shinoah Hiiragi from Owari no Seraph. Dark horse of a show. So good. Just flipped her name around to get Igari.
