The cruel mistress is always jealous of the young maid Ophelia's youth and beauty. One day, she framed the poor maid for breaking a valuable vase, and used this as an excuse to punish her. The male servants dragged the maid into the storage room and chained her hands over her hands and slightly pulling her into the air. They then put the same heavy cuffs on Ophelia's slim ankles, further straining the pain on her suspended arms. They even took off Ophelia's cute mary jane shoes, forcing her to stand on the cold floor on her stockinged toes. The servants left the poor girl hanging in there to finish work before coming back to have more fun.
