Adam's Comments: Yeah, Lance kinda had to start out at the bottom if he was going to accomplish anything later on in the story. Being bullied like this helps establish how much he has to level up to be a Champion again while making it clear he's a little boy having to deal with normal "kid" things. Don't worry, we don't want the entire story to be super mean all the time, but things are rough at the beginning.

Hm. Have another project going on that's like that too. Guess that's just a trend we like doing.... Heh.

Either way, one touch I like is that even though he's clearly humiliated Lance is still a gracious loser who tries to congratulate Lucy for winning. It shows that he's still trying to be a good sport and act mature, and also that there's a difference between winning/losing in this position and outright bullying each other.

Martin's Comments: Yeah, kind of a necessary rough patch before things start looking up. Not quite through that yet but hey, we're getting there; the whole next arc is already up on Fanbox along with the latest page (and a side picture) and available on our lowest tier so pretty cheap if you want to get an early look at where things are going.

Not a crazy amount to say beyond that. Kind of always awkward commenting on these since they're a lot more Adam's projects than they are mine, but am still happy with the results and hope everyone enjoys.
