Gabriel is one of the first few angels created to be the creator's chosen protectors of the kingdom of Heaven. Gabriel became the one able to relay the creator's messages to the other angels, and to mortal kind if need be, as well as the Archangel of the Fortitude Circle in Heaven and the head commander of the Hellguard.

Before the age of mortals, Gabriel lead the Hellguard against Lucifer and the demons of Hell, developing a bitter hatred against demons that persists today, believing that demons are a blight on existence and needs to be purged. After the nephilim caused the angels and demons to have a truce, Gabriel was heavily opposed to the truce, more so that "half demons" would make them submit to their whim let alone they becoming the creator's enforcers. Still, the demons and angels would cease fighting and Gabriel's hatred of the demons as well as the nephilim, grew.

After many years later in the AD age, Gabriel would soon be unable to hear the creator and slowly drive her into a panic, but with the other archangels to help keep her thoughts in check and kept her from doing anything drastic, telling her that "The creator has faith in them to preform their duties." However more tragic events would play out... The nephilim were attacked and nearly driven into extinction (which Gabriel took joy in) and Eden was dragged into the Abyss. Gabriel took this as the end times coming and need to prepare for war with the demons again where the archangel Michael told her to wait and that a greater threat is out there and that angels and demons would need to come together and be able to fight off what attack the nephilim. Gabriel wasn't having it and deemed Michael to be irresponsible and a traitor! She and other demon hating angels attacked Michael, but he was able to flee and has been in hiding ever since. Gabriel took Michael's position and now leads all of Heaven, noticing that Mortals have been losing faith in them and the existence of the creator, to where she declares "they will face their penance soon enough, and when they beg for mercy, we will reject them as they rejected us in their hubris." Telling the archangel Raphael to disband the Guardian Angels (angels who watch over and protect mortals) and they are need to prepare to fight the demons as Hellguard.

Time passes and the angels seem to have grown more crueler towards mortals, but then situation happens at one of their mortal posts: Manus Dei and the commander there, Ashborn was slain after making some dark deals with and eldritch god.
