For this week’s picture I am finally done with my Chloe and Serena fanfic and as such I can resume my normal publication schedule by other publishing pictures. Definitely feels nice that I am not publishing more Pokemon pictures in a while, almost got a 2 month streak with those so it is nice to delve into different franchises finally ^^. For this picture we got another scuba picture drawn by Shoxxe that was commissioned by EM2054 who promptly asked me to colour it, I appreciate their wish to see another wonderful picture from Shoxxe coloured in my style ^^. In this picture Daphne Blake from the Scooby Doo series has found herself in a scuba peril where her full face mask has been flooded due to her air hose cutting off. I am not that familiar with her or the series so can’t give too much backstory for her, I just remember her getting into trouble due to her eagerness to rush into danger during investigations. Can’t have a proper episode without some tension after all, plus everything will be resolved in the end so no pressure on that front either ^^. Since we all are wondering how Daphne got herself into this perilous situation underwater, I’ll try to provide a story that explains how we got into this breathtaking situation ^^.

The colouring process for this picture was pretty standard fair  since the picture only got one character and pretty standard underwater background, nothing terrifically detailed this time around. I decided to base Daphne’s gear and wetsuit around her normal colour scheme since that fits her, can’t go wrong with the classic colours. The only notable thing about colouring this picture the flooded face mask, had to use multiple transparent filters to implement the effect properly. Now when I think about it, Daphne could easily get away with by removing her mask and using the backup regulator. I guess she is panicking too much not to do that, wouldn’t make a good peril if she did that after all. Big thanks to EM2054 for asking me to colour this wonderful lineart and to Shoxxe for drawing the lineart for this picture, glad to be finally be able to work on a full face mask picture from him. As per usual I highly recommend him if you’re interested in highly detailed linearts ^^.
