Vera Oichi, Countess of the city state of Vapotentia, has a problem; she hates what her life has become.

As one of the descendants to one of the most prestigious houses in the city, Vera has to deal with pressures from both the public and her family. This has made her feel like her very essence is being squeezed from her, drop by drop, risking the extinction of her soul. For this reason, Vera has developed a certain routine, a way to release the pressures from her daily life by escaping into the city as just another face in the crowd. Little does she know that her last escapade will have higher repercussions than she ever imagined.
